Starting a SIP takes five minutes. Knowing how much to invest, in which funds and for which goal is the harder part, and it is where most plans go wrong. At Nurture Capital, every SIP starts with your goals and your full financial picture, worked out by a Chartered Accountant.
We work with salaried professionals, doctors, business owners and families in Panchkula, Chandigarh, Mohali and Zirakpur, and with investors elsewhere in India online.

Start with the goal, not the fund
Retirement, a child’s education, a home and long-term wealth each have a different amount, a different date and a different tolerance for ups and downs. So each goal gets its own bucket with its own allocation. Money you need in four years should not sit in the same mix as money you need in twenty.
For every goal we work out three things: what it will cost by the time you need it, after inflation; how much you have already saved towards it; and the monthly SIP needed to close the gap.
How we build your SIP plan
- Understand. A conversation about your income, existing investments across PPF, fixed deposits, gold, shares and mutual funds, your loans and insurance, and your goals. You can start with our risk profile questionnaire.
- Structure. We set the equity and debt mix for each goal based on its time horizon and your risk profile, and check the tax impact before changing anything you already hold.
- Execute. Online KYC and onboarding, with SIPs set up for you. Units are held in your own name with the fund house, and you can track everything in your client login.
- Review. Scheduled reviews, rebalancing when allocations drift, and a step-up in your SIP as your income grows.
SIP, step-up SIP or lump sum?
A regular SIP invests a fixed amount every month, which builds the habit and spreads your purchases across market ups and downs.
A step-up SIP raises the amount each year, for example by 10%, in line with your salary. Over a long horizon this can make a large difference to the final corpus.
For a large sum, such as a bonus, a maturing FD or sale proceeds, we often use a systematic transfer plan (STP): the money is parked in an arbitrage fund and moved into equity funds in monthly instalments from the same fund house, rather than all at once.
How we choose the funds
Every fund is scored from 0 to 100 against its own category on crash resilience, risk-adjusted and long-term returns, downside safety, and whether the manager’s outperformance looks like skill or luck. We prefer fewer, better funds and check overlap, so each fund in your plan earns its place.
Try the numbers yourself
Our free SIP, step-up SIP and goal calculators show what a goal could cost and the monthly investment it may need. Change any assumption and the result updates instantly.
Common questions about SIPs
What is the minimum SIP amount?
Many schemes accept SIPs from ₹500 a month. We have no minimum of our own; our planning is most useful once you have a few goals to organise.
Can I pause or stop a SIP?
Yes. SIPs can be paused, changed or stopped. Redeeming units may attract an exit load depending on the scheme and how long you have held them, so we check that first.
How many funds should I have?
Usually a few well-chosen funds per goal are enough. More funds often means more overlap, not more diversification.
How are SIP investments taxed?
Each SIP instalment is treated as a separate purchase with its own holding period. See tax-aware investing for how equity and debt funds are taxed.
